Confirmed on SEGA's Twitter (https://twitter.com/SEGA/status/526884918677471232)
This could be the beginning of a new initiative at SEGA to port many of their console games to PC. Valkyria Chronicles wasn't multiplatform and it used a proprietary engine so it's certainly not an effortless port job. They also recently updated the old Dreamcast Collection PC ports to a higher standard than the console versions. Plus out of every Japanese game company, SEGA is probably the one with the most success on PC. Many of their most successful franchises are exclusively on PC (Total War, Football Manager, Phantasy Star Online).
Here's hoping that they port the Yakuza games or Vanquish next.
inb4 it sells like shit and they cease and desist.
Eeeehhhhh...
I didn't really care for Valkyria Chronicles. Sure it had some nice ideas but the difficulty ramped up too quickly for me to stay invested in it past like the 9th mission. Honestly I'd rather see them port Phantasy Star Online 2 or Resonance of Fate or something.

You mean 'localize'.
Which was the one for the Gamecube?

That was the original Phantasy Star Online which is already on PC and in English (although the official servers are long dead).

Tis the fate of all online games.

Hey, at least there are a few fan servers that are still up and running.

But it's not the same.
There is a PSO2, though.
And everyone is waiting for Sega to localise it. Although at this point it wont happen, because Sega is retarded.
Valkyira Chronicles is an already dead series as well, and part 2 is on PSP and 3 was never localised, because Sega is retarded.
I'm offensive and I find your comment retarded.
PC version confirmed to be digital-only, $19.99, and includes all the DLC. You can pre-order it now for 10% off though. (http://store.steampowered.com/app/294860/)
