What are you looking forward to? What expectations do you have? Will Nintendo win again? yes
Nothing to see on June 14th
So we do finally have a schedule? That Nintendo listing is when their direct will be, not their other stuff, right?
Last time I checked, yeah.

Right, they'll probably have a Treehouse stream going for most of the conference too if it's like last year.
But the Square Enix stream tho :U
That means I now have a date to mark on the calendar.

There's something I really want to see from Square but for the life of me I can't remember what it is.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with those 2 franchises I like soo much.
Well I know it wasn't Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest or Kingdom Hearts related. I mean, I want to see KHIII as much as the next guy that isn't Wind but there was something else they do that I really wanted to see.
Why can't I remember?

Bravely Second? Theatrhythm? Tomb Raider? Just Cause? Deus Ex? Hitman?
Nah, none of those interest me. Hopefully it'll come back to me after I sleep on it.
Any news on Sega? I heard a rumor that something Shenmue related may be presented this year.

Sega won't even have their own booth this year (http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2015/05/04/sega-will-not-have-its-own-booth-at-e3-2015.aspx) so unless they struck a deal with one of the big 3 to make Shenmue an exclusive then it ain't happening. The odds of a Shenmue announcement were already incredibly low.
Is Sonic actually skipping a year?
And no Sonic Runners doesn't count for anything.

Does this count then?

And considering that Sonic Runners was actually developed by Sonic Team and not a different developer, I'd say it does count.
So Sonic is skipping a year, got it.
Hey, you never know. Maybe they'll announce another Nintendo-exclusive Sonic game.
Question here is whether TGN will somehow give Sony praise for not being interesting this year. Yes, his opinion on E3 2014 did bother me because it seemed like he just ignored all conferences except for Sony and Nintendo.

You'll have to remind me. What did I say last year about Sony?
Added the Smash Bros stream Sakurai is hosting on June 14
Story mode announcement?
So according to my schedule, I'll be missing the EA and Ubisoft conferences, hopefully I'll make it back home in time for Sony.

Sony didn't really do anything for me last year. I honestly am not sure what to expect from them this year although I am sure they won't be mentioning the Vita.
Also, added streaming links for everything to the first post and crossed out the Smash Bros. stream since it already happened. Bethesda's coming up next tonight!
Microsoft Conference
Backwards compatibility is cool.
That new controller looks neat.
PC mods in Fallout 4 is rad.
That new Inafune game looks interesting.
Early Access is nice.
Everything else was meh.
No Scalebound. :(
Verdict: 3 Ford GTs out of 5
No Banjo?
The controller and backwards compatibility have me wanting an Xbone now, but it still needs an exclusive I care about to make me buy one. Recore looks ok but no gameplay so...
There's backwards compatibility and the new controller, and it has games I want like Killer Instinct and Sunset Overdrive.
Unfortunately I'm a weeb above all else, and all the Japanese games are on PS4...
Oh, re-releases. Got ya.
EA Conference
Mirror's Edge looked cool.
So did Battlefront.
Sports.
Verdict: 1 Pelé out of 5
Mirror's Edge looked alright from what little we saw. Battlefront was good. Hyped for Mass Effect Andromeda whenever that's supposed to come out. All of that combined was maybe 15 minutes of their 80 minute conference so it was a yawnfest.
mobile games at E3.

Console gaming is slowly dying. Welcome to the future.
Good thing I still have anime as a hobby.

Anime is next.
Watching anime on a tablet?

Watching anime on a tablet?
No, anime itself is slowly dying.
Says who?
Me, a guy who knows nothing about anime.
Ok.
As long as there are Japanese people who can draw anime will never die.
Ubisoft Conference
For Honour looked pretty cool.
So did Siege.
A lot of their games are starting to blend together though. Same mechanics and everything.
Remember Trackmania?
Verdict: 3 collectibles out of 1025
Aeisha Tyler's pronunciation was on point.

The way she pronounced Genevieve Forget was pretty rad.
I went out of town to see the Sony conference in a movie theater so I missed Ubisoft. But Sony was amazing. Best conference so far. Not everything was exclusive to Sony, or at least won't stay exclusive forever, but The Last Guardian alone set the bar high even before the FFVII Remake reveal. Nothing in the show I thought was bad even though I'm not really interested in CoD. Even the TV thing they announced was interesting with a la carte channels. Wish we could have seen Kingdom Hearts, but SquareEnix still has their show.
How loud did it get for FFVII, Shenmue, and Last Guardian?

Last Guardian and Shenmue got gasps and applause but people were screaming when they recognized Midgar
Nintendo's conference was pretty weak. Guess it just goes to show what they think of E3 these days. Everything we saw was either an old announcement or a spin-off. Guess they're saving the big news for individual Nintendo Directs.
Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam was easily the highlight for me. Other than that they've successfully sold me on Happy Home designer. Costume Mario is also cool but I wish we saw more of it. Other than AC Party and Mario Tennis, though, nothing else really interested me. I expected more from Nintendo. *sigh*
Sony Conference
The Last Guardian
Final Fantasy VII remake
Shenmue III
Sony won.
Verdict: 5 sailors out of 5
Nintendo Conference
Starfox looked neat. Being able to transform into different vehicles at any time is cool, plus Platinum are developing the campaign so it should be fun, although the graphics look kinda meh.
Triforce Heroes looked kinda cool too. Four Swords Anniversary was kinda meh but this one looks better than that.
Happy Home Designer still looks meh, but being able to design someone's yard is pretty neat.
New Animal Crossing...board game? Okay, first of all, fuck you for getting my hopes up, Nintendo. Second of all, the board game doesn't even look that fun. There doesn't seem to be any minigames like Mario Party and there's still no online! Third of all, you really gonna make us buy amiibos to play this game? And it's still a full retail title that we have to pay for? Piss off.
New Metroid...uhh...co-op shooter? I...really don't know what to make of this. I hope it's good.
That new Mario RPG looked interesting, but the past few Mario RPGs haven't been too good so I'm keeping my expectations in check.
Mario Tennis? Meh.
And...that was it? They barely showed anything new, especially for the Wii U which is even worse because they're the only ones still developing games for the thing! What a disappointment.
Buy Amiibos.
Verdict: 3 overpriced DLCs out of 5
Square Enix Conference
Just Cause 3 looked like fun, naturally.
Tomb Raider reboot still looks lame.
Kingdom Hearts 3 looked nice too, I guess.
Is it bad that I don't care about any of the JRPGs?
Verdict: 3 belt buckles out of 5
E3 is dead
Fuck everything.
Shenmue III alone made this E3 great to me.
So no one watched the PC Gaming Show or whatever it was?
Quote from: jkid101094 on June 16, 2015, 01:56:35 PM
So no one watched the PC Gaming Show or whatever it was?
It's on right now.
It's a genuine talk show about PC gaming. The hardware and how it runs games, it's actually pretty neat.
They show gameplay and everything.
3 hours tho...
