I would love to see this finished! Looks promising so far, maybe soon enough we'll have something that isn't far from a PC port of Splatoon!
Except for the look of the ink, since if they made it smaller or more detailed it will crash the server.

I understand what you mean, but they might be able to pull off half-size squares. (Not sure though, I don't know too much about that kind of stuff)
