I always like the classic games more but the more I play sonic generations or colors I tend to have a bit more fun
Modern
I enjoy aspects of both the Modern and Classic era sonic games to an extent, such as the platforming and layouts of levels in the classic games, and the 3D gameplay seen in the Adventure games. Overall I think the actual level design is key in most cases. Other than that I'm just not a fan of the boost ability myself, because while it does make you go faster, it makes you nearly invincible in some regards, and if I had to choose one form of boost (though I prefer no boost), it would have to be the way it was in Sonic Unleashed where it was actual bursts of speed, and not a constant boost.
