What would you do with the emerald?
Option 1: Destroy it for all of the trouble it gave you.
Option 2: Give/sell it to someone.

If you were Knuckles, and you were relieved of your duty of protecting the Master Emerald, what would you do with the emerald?

Blatantly would keep it, you could use it to become super with, like Metal Sonic did in Sonic 3 & Knuckles or fire mah lazor like Big robotnik did in the same game :D

I'd keep it. With such a valuable jewel, that has so much power too, i would never want it away from me.
Protect it until my kids will be the next Master Emerald's Guardians
