Wait, why is Snake younger in SSBB? But in this one he's old?

Anyways, idk if I'd see this. Cause I've never played a Metal Gear game

I'm gonna explain this as best as I know it.

Snake, being a clone, has a few genetic flaws. One of those is rapid aging later in his life.
The Snake in SSBB is based off of Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2, however, later in life, he ages extremely fast.
In MGS4, he is physically in his 80s while he's only in his 30s.

If I'm wrong on this, feel free to correct me.

Physically (as in, his body feels like), he is 80.
If you were to measure the years from his birth, he's somewhere in his 30s.

Time for MGS guru to pwnzor you.

Snake (David), Liquid (Adam), and Solidus (unkown name) are all clones of Naked Snake, A.K.A. Big Boss. Snake is the derivative of the recessive genes (useless unwanted ones), Liquid has the dominant genes (also referred to as the "perfect soldier" genes), and Solidus is a perfect clone. They were clones made to be "perfect soldiers" in order to help the U.S. and it's allies dominate. However, they were genetically coded to not be able to have offspring of their own and to age rapidly after a certain age. In order to keep them from being used by the enemy side. So, in MGS4, Snake has become old after having hit that age soon after 2009, the Big Shell incident, and aged to about his 60's. The reason he is young in the SSBB is because they chose to use the Big Shell incident version of himself, because:
1. MGS4 hadn't been released yet, that would be releasing large amount of info about the game.
2. In MGS4, Snake's mission is to stop Liquid's insurrection and also his fight to keep going at his old age. Using him at an old age would make him get hurt a lot by falling from heights, run slower, jump lower, etc.

Class is now in session for any other questions...

Re-read the title, please. :P

So what you mean is that snake is only on his 30's but he has an 80 year old body.
