First Gen - Sonic 1 [1991] - Sonic R [1997...i think]
Second Gen - Adventure [1998] - Shadow [2005]
Third Gen - [NG - Present Day]
Personally, i think the Second One was the best!
I like first as my fav
Although I hate shadow the hedgehog and don't like Sonic heroes, i pick second gen.
Second Gen.
l never tried the third gens, since l don't have PS3 or WII.

The Second Generation. As soon the Games got a new look, a new generation starts!
The Old School ones, is the First Generation!
The Adventure Story Line, is the Second Generation.
And since NG, the games are again, "diffrent". The Third Gen.
2010/11 the 4th gen might brake in. but just maybe
my al fav is the first but i like all of them so i wont vote :)

they are diffrent in styles.
Second Gen because of the Dreamcast games
But I still don't Sonic Heroe's that much
but the greatness of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 makes me choose the Second Generation
