 ??? I would say sonic 1,Because if you beat egghead,and see the part where he stops?Hit him for mistake and you have to hit him 255 times AGAIN.

I choose Sonic 1 because that thwomp kind of thing can come out of no where and hit you, though my favorite final boss was in Sonic CD with Metal Sonic....Good times..

Sonic 2's final boss ESPECIALLY with knux because he dosent jump as high as sonic and tails

I would have to say Sonic and Knuckles b/c it's difficult to avoid the sputter flames out of the Giant Dr. R Robot and the huge laser beam all while attempting to attack the thing at the same time... on top of that you always need to move to avoid falling off the stage...

I think you had to beat Eggman in both Sonic 1 and 2 w/o rings...
