Sounds like a bot to me. Nobody has access to your dad's e-mail or anything, that letter was just automatically sent to a bunch of people to get into their heads.

Those are just junk mail that are consider spam message I always get some of those but not that much

All these spam and chain letter emails bother me.. Lots! So I opend 5 diffrent emails with the five bigest email providers. Currently the best is yahoo.com no joke... I have also set up a purpose built spam hotmail and in 2 weeks I had over a 1200 emails form all the websites I have an acount with. In short Spam is for the Spam section.
