After that game, Shadow was down on my list of favorite characters.
But believe it or not (to you people who know how much I complain about him), there are actually characters that are lower on my favorite list. X.x
He was more toward the evil side in SA2B, and that's how he should have stayed.

Shadow is a sort of anti hero so he is nether good or bad.

Here's my viewpoint on Shadow:
He was like a new toy for SEGA [excuse the terrible simile].
Fun at first, and very popular.
Then, as time wore on, he got bent, shaped, and distorted.
Now he's garbage bin material.

Such a shame too.
Shadow had the potential to be a great character.
If you took away some of the similarities that he had with Sonic and added his own abilities. Like, not a super form, but something else sort of like it. And make him have his own different Chaos Control and crap like that.
At least rename them. -_-"
Because seriously. One lightning-fast hedgehog that can use Chaos Control and go Super is enough. Two is overboard. Three (minus the lightning fast) is just WTF. (Third= Silver)
Not to mention all the gary-stu/static fancharacters (ones that are JUST LIKE Sonic and Shadow. There are actually VERY good fancharacters out there.)
And the whole "Ultimate Life Form" idea.

i say neutral, (using sa2b as an example) he starts out evil, but gets good at the end, so i think he's neutral
