So I decided to quit messing around with it and decide to actually make something.
I wanted to go with something easy, so I chose the traditional Ice Cap Zone music. ^ - ^
This is similar to Blazer's A-Capella, only it's created by reading the sheet music, deciphering which notes are which, and "drawing" the notes into the program Vocaloid. Then I had to change the lyric sound, because by default, it makes an "ah" sound. >.<
So I made it say "la"
It's actually a lot harder than it seems.
I had to restart it like three times.
Took me about two hours just to get the first 8 measures down...
lol
But now I present...
Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len singing "Ice Cap Zone" (or at least, the first 8 measures of it for now. roflz)
Rin will be our melody, while Len will be the harmony. C:
(There's like 8 seconds of silence in the beginning, although I'm not quite sure why...)

It may take a while, but that was about a quarter way through the music, so I may be done tomorrow or the next day...or maybe a month from now. xD

heh thanks.
Yeah, I'm still getting used to editing the voices.
It's a pain in the rearrr DDD:
Haha I posted a comment on your video :)
It's done. C:
I don't like how the slur part in the melody came out, but I didn't know how to manipulate it correctly. D:
Rofl, and I looped the same 30 second deal like three times, because there was only 16 measures in the sheet music I used, which turned out to be a little over 30 seconds. >.>
But for a first try, I think it's ok.
Nobody's perfect on the first go around. C:

Well, here are my nit-picks:
1. You missed some of the triplets.
2. Some of the notes seem a bit too forced making it sound strange.
But I don't know the software limitations, so I'm not sure whether or not those are fixable. Either way, I really liked it and hope to hear more from you soon.

Thankies for the CnC. :3
I'll take that into consideration next time I re-create a song. C:
I'm not aware of much of the limitations either.
I really didn't mess around with any of the effects, but I'm sure that there's a way to soften up the notes.

Well, that's what you gotta do with these things. Learn what's good by trial and error, test out new parts, all that stuff. Also CnC stands for...

Yepp.
Trial and error really is the only way to go with a voice synthesizer such as Vocaloid. heh.
CnC = Comments 'n Criticism

Well you can't expect much different with a Japanese program... Just more reason to either experiment or dl Rosetta Stone.

rofl I gave up on RS.
It just throws sentences at you like wtf.
Doesn't even teach you how to pronounce the words correctly or anything.

Really, how is THAT award winning? Anyway, that's off topic. Guess you'll just have to experiment.

A while. D:
It took me a few hours just to make a 30 second loop. It probably gets faster to make them as you get used to the program, though.

its kinda like making a midi or something right? just having to configure the notes and the voice.
