History and Facts
Metal Slug for the Neo-Geo and other consoles that got a port in their online store and/or retro game collections. The game was quite popular back in 1996. That was when it first got released. Developed by Nazca, and published by SNK. After its arcade released it got ported to NeoGeo. Then later got published to newer consoles the newer consoles of that time PlayStation and Sega Saturn. Then sold 8 million units. Sadly after it got ports to our current videogame generation and previous, the game sold poorly.

There also a few mini bosses along your adventure. Co-op is available anytime, so the second player can drop in anytime.

Graphics
The graphics are amazing, nothing less. The art style seems to be hand drawn. Every level has its own background, it's polished, there is a lot of detail going on, and it's just awesome.
This series is well known for its humorous graphics.

Sound
The soundtrack for this game is just... perfect.  We're talking about great war style music and fit the level environment. The music is great and gets stuck into head. Also the voices are funny. "AHHH" (In a high pitch voice)

Fun and Appeal
Even though the game is only 30-40 minutes long, don't let that fool you. This game has amazing replay value. Everything is so perfect that you're going to play it over and over again. Metal Slug is one of those games that you don't play often. I suggest you give it a play.
