In a recent doctor who episode, a proud venetian screamed ''WE. ARE. VENETIAN!!'' in a fashion alot of people would think is inspired by a certain spartan.

oh, he also blew up about 6 vampires... (apparently they are fish from space with perception filters, woot) but that doesnt matter.

So from now on, venice is the new sparta. and instead of a hole in the ground, we have canals. THIS. IS. VENICE!!! *kicks space fish into canal, space fish gets eaten by dormant, hungry own kind*
