Guys, I need your tips/help/input on this

So, I was gonna google something random when I came across "Doodle 4 Google," a drawing contest.

The topic this year is "If I were to go anywhere in time.." and given my psychosomatic imagination, I can imagine about 1k years from now, civilization in the sky and on earth. I'll be flying in the sky..flying free.

Anyways, I got a layout for myself:

Is there anything about it?

If it isn't too much, I'd also like some tips for drawing aswell. :3

Also it's neat, but it looks plain. Do you know how to ad text effects and the like?

I'm not using the computer, it has to be handrawn. That's just a base.
It's been awhile since I've done text that looks clean on paper. Usually it has eraser marks or it has alot of lines.

I have to remake my sig, since I deleted it off my computer. xD
