Unique and/or hard controls were something gamers liked to master instead of bitching about it?

Remember when gamers tried to master hard games instead of being like "fuck this shit" or calling it broken?
Remember when games were hard and required skill?

Yeah, me neither.

If someone feels cheated it doesn't matter how much time they put into a game, they won't enjoy it. Some people just don't like hard games. I personally can't stand games that feel too overwhelming. If I can't do it in three tries or less it is officially bogus.

Not every game is for every person, you know. :P

That's why I think games should be more like Ducktales Remastered where they give you difficulty settings that changes the rules of the game to suit what you want, or like Rayman Origins where the whole game has a smooth learning curve due to it being properly balanced for skill.

Make a game accessible and remember that you cannot please everyone.

Games were hard because it was expected that you wouldn't be buying a ton of games. So games were hard to keep you busy for a longer amount of time.

Satistically, the average gamer buys way less games.

Cause the average gamer would be lucky to even have a decent paying job.
