PlayStation Japan recently polled Hardcore Gamers in Japan between their teens to their 60s about which game they'd like to see remade on next-generation platforms -  or rather the PS4 specifically. Here are the results

20. Gran Turismo

19. Final Fantasy VII International

18. Dragon Quest VII

17. Final Fantasy VIII

16. Winning Eleven 8: Liveware Evolution

15. Xenogears

14. Kingdom Hearts

13. Final Fantasy X

12. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

11. Final Fantasy IX

10. Arc the Lad

9. Dragon Quest IV

8. Kingdom Hearts II

7. Resident Evil 6

6. Dragon Quest V

5. Gran Turismo 6

4. Final Fantasy

3. Resident Evil

2. Dragon Quest VIII

1. Final Fantasy VII

Now, some of these choices are really weird, like both Gran Turismo entries and Resident Evil 6 of all things. Also, Winning Eleven 8? (Pro Evolution Soccer 4).

But to surprise of absolutely no one, Final Fantasy 7 is the most requested remake in Japan as well.

No offence, but what is so great about FF7, yeah it's a great game, but what makes it so different from other turn-based RPGs?

Also, some of the entries are pretty recent, I don't see a reason for them to be remade, except for the nonexisting backwards compatibility (Seriously Sony, what's so bad about the darn thing?).

It's nice that Japanese gamers understand the greatness that is Resident Evil 6.

Gran Turismo 6 should have been on the fucking PS4 to begin with. And Resident Evil is being remade so lucky for them.
