Why this game doesn't have any adventure fields?

SA1 had adventure fields but why noy SA2?

I guess they wanted to do something different. I enjoyed the hub worlds in SA1 and would've loved to see them in SA2.

I didn't loved adventure field in sa1 but I prefer sa2
