The time has finally come, after a far shorter wait than I imagined no less. In this tutorial, I will first show you how to install others mod packs and then how to make your own.

Trouble shooting and FAQ:
Q:When I load DDD it says "FSGetMountSource failed."
A: The WiiU isn't reading the SD card, either its not in or you may have to try another sd card.

Q: Title dumper stopped before the download finished.
A: Your connection was interrupted, try running the process again. Turn off your firewall

Q: What vol folder?
A: it was made once title dumper finished.

Q: I'm getting the Error Code: 112-1028
A: Turn off your computers firewall.

Q: When I click on DDD, I can't enter my I.P. Address
A:Use the d-pad left and right to move the cursor and up and down to increase/decrease the number

Q: Title dumper is frozen!
A: is the last thing you downloaded "Dummy content"? If so that means your off the splash screen and you should be done.

Q: My mods aren't working, I didn't initially download ts4m's mod pack.
A: Simply create a folder called 0005000010144F00 on the root of your sd. Then add your "patch" folder there. If you're on a European console make it 0005000010145000

Q: Can i delete mods after i add them?
A: Simply right click in sm4shexplorer and choose "delete mod files" or alternatively delete them from your sd.

Q: Do I need to keep xampp running?
A: You only need it to run the bookmarks so no, you can turn it off after.

Q:What do you do with Python?
A: sm4sh explorer needs it to function.

While Smash modding has technically been a thing for awhile now, public methods are finally becoming widespread so I figured we needed a topic for it.

There is already a Project M styled project in the works (*cough*MLGF*cough*) and texture hacks are spawning like rabbits. If you're interested you can find an easy to follow tutorial above and mods on GameBanana and presumably Kitty Corp once they redo the site.

For the record I have no idea what fingerprints this will leave on your Wii U so it's probably best not to try this if you plan on sending your Wii U in for repair or selling it anytime soon. Be respectful to whoever ends up buying your used system.

So yeah, this is a thing and I'm loving the hell out of it. No nude mods yet because of some stupid reason but I can wait. Modding this game is amazingly ten times easier than Brawl. Since the game was made more modular for DLC everything from expanding the roster to adding new costumes usually comes down to copy/pasting and editing a .bin file. Even the video files are just MP4s that can just be added to the folders.

Since the modding scene is booming I figured I'd bring the good news while I was here. As shown above you can start your journey on Gamebanana. Happy modding~
