And he just pulled a dick move.

SO he decides to call my grandma so the sole purpose of telling her "oh yeah and Katie doesn't wanna go to church anymore."  It's true, I don't.  But I go to please my grandma.

So him doing this throws my grandma into fit, so he comes in here like her freaking out is MY fault, waking me up (I had just drifted to sleep) cause he wants me to talk to her.  I'm thinking 'why?  You already threw her into hysteria; why can't you finish your little conversation and leave me the hell alone?'  So she pulls the whole guilt trip on me (she does that with anything church related - she'll go on forever like it's the last thing she'll ever say), now I'm pissy (I tried to hold my tongue when talking to her) cause I got woken up right after drifting off with yelling and throwing and banging (cell phone to the chest at full force isn't fun), STILL fucking tired, sick-feeling, AND I feel bad cause of something I didn't even do.  I was just going to go once in a while to satisfy her absolute need to push the Christian stick into my life and not say anything about it, and let her go on thinking what she does (not to sound mean, but she's very old anyway.  I'd have to pull the charade for MAYBE a few more years.  I've been going since I was two anyway, what's another four or five?)

Mom was the only one who knew I wasn't Christian.  Then she told dad.  He freaked out, and thinks I'm just there now, cause if you don't believe in God, you have no right to live, by the way he acts (which is one reason I dislike Christianity.  Not all Christians act like that, but a large number do.  I'm not saying that they people are bad, but they're a little extreme on their point of view of God), and took that l was never going to church again, and HAD to blabber his mouth to my grandma.
At least my mom didn't tell her.  I told her not to tell dad cause of the way he'd act, but eh, whatever.  At least I'm out, which is what I've wanted for years.  But still.  I think he did this just to piss me off.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree (unless it's a windy day).

EchidnaPower

Just for the record, Christians should understand that people have the right to believe what they want to believe, even if it isn't Christianity.

At the very least, I now understand why you think Christianity is garbage. Your dad warped its meaning into a tyranny.

I love Jesus! Do you?

Proto_Blaze

EchindnaPower is right. People warp christianity to be like a tyranny and that you will be shunned if you dont accept.... they have the concept wrong

Riot_Monsterous

that's awful when people do that, you can't push people to your religion. it's just wrong and i am a christian but i would never do that ever.. it makes me a bit mad when people get like that and be all judgemental cause it doesn't impress anyone. its crap they are being full of themselves, gah it ticks me off sometimes and i am totally on your side on this your dad is being a jerk and like echidna power said, people have the right to believe what they want and they don't need to be treated like crap because of it. and they don't need to be judged  I'm sorry your dad is being such a jerk :(

My aunt is very religious and I straight up told her I was atheist. I'm 1 out of 2 atheists that come from a christian family. :P
(The other in this case being my brother.)
