Because the writers only care about appealing to dumb people, they dont give a crap on quality.

Adventure Time has sex jokes in ever episode, if you listen for it. Regular Show's got plenty too, but they're a lot more obvious. MLP:FiM has its share of humor for the older crowd, but it's not really the same.

Other than that, yeah, not much else makes jokes for the older viewers anymore.

Bwahahaha, I NEVER noticed that in PPG.
Then again, I haven't really watched it since I became a perverted corrupted teenager.

Animaniacs has all kinds of jokes for the older audience.  I could point them out when I was little.  rofl
