You know, you can give it a rest- no need to mention it everytime something does not get released on Wii U / Vita.
People are not gonna produce things for unpopular consoles. Its always been like that and always will be like that...

...and only a few people bought ZombiU.

Why bother make anything ever?
Popular vote is stupid anyway, I only care about what fans have to say.

If there were enough "fans" that the production cost would come back they would do it.

"Fans" also dont seem to realise that the market isnt standing still and is and will continue to move on.
With or without them because they are a minority.

"Fans" usually do not embrace anything "new" because it sometimes goes "against" with what they fell in love with a decade ago.
Embrace the new, adapt,  or get left behind.

Sadly, this this goes for human kind general...

That wouldn't happen if they made a budget around the fans they have, rather than budgeting to appeal to an audience who could care less whether they die or not as long as they get their "money's worth", and hope that the fans just deal with the radical, often retarded, changes.

Yes. You're right.
But, would you rather make ~50'000 Profit to finance another small game or 1'000'000 Profit to finance another big game?
Obviously, you're gonna say the prior but most would not.

They want to go bigger and better over the last project. They want to outdo themselves.
Ofcourse, at some point you're gonna try going for way too much since you always went for "bigger and better" and thats when you get things like... Sonic 06 or Resident Evil 6.

Add to that that the lower price disc games are slowly dying out and reserved for digital-only, which usually means you wont get alot of attention. Some exceptions being things like Minecraft.

And "fans" are always hard to please in the first place.
If, lets say, Capcom came out with Lost Planet 3 that played exactly like Lost Planet 2, they would bitch how about its the same game. But if they came out with a Lost Planet 3 that plays different, they would bitch about how its different.

So, what do you do as a developer? Exactly, you ignore and simply go with what you want to do and have fun developing it.
And THEN you start with feedback and go on from there.

People, and that probably also includes you want in their games;

Great Music
Great Voice Acting
Long Campaign
Additional Modes
And more often also Multiplayer fuctionalities.

That's their problem, they're putting their own families at risk while I'll still have games to play.

There's a big difference between fans and stupid people.
Take one person who wishes for more characters to play as in the next Sonic game, then there's the other who complains about "Why does Sonic have green eyes?", for some reason people assume that the latter is what a fan is, the "vocal minority" as it were. And if companies choose to listen to the latter rather than the former, again, that's their problem, not mine, and don't come crying to us about "derp, why aren't our games selling?" It's like a teacher basing her opinion on her entire class based on one delinquent student...

And this topic about change... why do you assume fans think change is bad? Was there bot change between Final Fantasies 1-9? Was there not change between Resident Evil 3 and 4? Was there not change between Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World? What we bitch about isn't change in and of itself, we bitch about change that is radical, disagreeable, wierd, or just makes you ask "why?"... Like, why get rid of the Lock-On in the DMC reboot? Why?

That's all well and good, but why would you do that with an established franchise which already has rules, a playstyle, a lore and a fanbase, rather than making a new IP where you can have as much fun as you want developing it since there are no outside expectations to hold you down?

Ah, yes, using classical music to make your story feel deep. The most pretentious thing one can do.

Looks great though!
