Honestly, I think it's much better than Sonic CD. I never really got why people say Sonic CD is that good, it just didn't latch on to me like the other games did. Must be the different physics of the game.

good this is why
1. it got 12 acts
2. it's got super/hyper sonic and knuckles and super tails
3. 13 times the actions and 1 up's
4. it's got really good graphic's
5. bosses are the best barck espically Robotnik
6.it is the most fun sonic game to date!(next to sonic 2 :)

Sonic 3 and knuckles is my favorite of the 2D era of games.
Good music, fun levels, and good plot.
