I deal with depressed people all the time. One of my friend's cases got so bad he literally attempted to kill himself in his sleep. He had to go to the hospital due to the cuts he caused himself. He's better now.

And HMS7, if it helps, try to ask God for strength. God loves you, the devil doesn't.
