whats your favorite sonic game

My favorite Sonic game has to be Sonic 1 8-bit (more specifically, the Game Gear version). I wish the whole "Chaos Emeralds are hidden somewhere in the level and not in a dang-near impossible bonus round" concept was kept for the WHOLE series, not just the 8-bit Sonic 1 and 2.
