he didn't die. in shadow the hedgehog, if you wait long enough in the final battle, eggman will say he had one of his robots save him.

But wasn't one of the Shadow the Hedgehog endings show that Shadow was a clone of himself? Meaning that he DID die...

I personally say yes he did.

Phew. This is a rough question. On one hand, Shadow is obviously still alive, but on the other hand, it may not be his actual self. The original may have died, but on the fall from space, Shadow was still in his super form, so perhaps, the only thing he suffered was a case of amnesia. I guess I'll vote no, just because I'd like it that way.

I say he didn't die.  If you look closely at the end of the credits, there is a small flash of light.
However, SEGA hasn't said, they're apparently letting the fans decide.
The thing is that ShTH gives a different message with each path and there are like 300 of them
