It's interesting, I liked Sonic Adventure/Sonic Adventure DX for it's hub worlds and exploring for like the Wind/Ice rocks, stage entrances, and characters. Yet, that's the one thing that made me pull my hair out because sometimes Tikal would have to give me hints because I was lost sometimes on where to go but the exploring did make it memorable.
Agreed!

leveling up too much, boss fights that take an eternity(I'm looking at you Lavos), I have a few more I'll remember later

I hate...
those crap storylines that have been done thousands of times before
generic villains
bad music
people that say one game is better than the other when they haven't even tried the one they're dissing (commonly seen in the CoD vs. Halo debate, and the aforementioned person is supporting CoD)
Thanks, firestar and kirbysoul, respectively

RoyalStallion

COD games they have spammed us with them. I do appreciate Zombies though.

HellFireX8

Way too long Jump 'n' Run Stages.
Example: Sonic Unleashed (XB360/PS3)
When there is Fire, there is Light

Ultramariologan

Unskippable cutscenes, hints that everyone already knows (except if you are playing a game for the first time), hard bosses.

TrueSilverWolf

Magical enemies, A long level with dangerous pits/trap with no checkpoint, Grenade spam, Bad music or some stupid fight theme that interrupts a good level music, Unexpected enemies/random encounters.

The sort of thing that n00bs use to get massive kill that take no skill whatsoever

One thing that has ever really annoyed me is beating the final boss after one huge epic game of awesomeness (OoT) and not being able to save... you know, I'd like to explore the world as it is without Ganondorf's evil contaminating it.

SmashFinale

I hate it when a game becomes too popular and then people that have never even heard of the first game in the series start praising it. (i.e. Call of Duty). Ask any of your friends if they have even HEARD of CoD before CoD4(if they say CoD 3, i wouldnt count it since it came out on the current systems)

i hate it when the games storyline branch off from the first one (i.e Final Fantasy, Armored Core 3)
i hate it when sports soundtracks promote a song that EVERYONE constantly sings(i.e Madden NFL 06: IMA BEAST! Yeah... it was that game... also Dance Dance)
i hate it when they just dont update the roster for the sports games(although new draft picks can be a primary reason to have to make a new game
i hate it when completely different games use songs from another game source(i.e Shadow The Hedgehog Death Ruins and Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3)
i hate over-hyped iPhone games (most of them are flash games anyways...  ::) )
