Can someone help me? I am goning to buy a new computer, currently my budeget is $2000. Soooo.....
Should I buy one now or wait a year to raise my budget to $5000?
Also, ATI or Nvidia?
Intel or AMD?
Please provide enlightenment.

Super Sonic Boom

Depends on how much you need it, in my opinion I'd wait so you could get a really good one next year.
Also, I'd go with Nvidia for the graphics card, they seem better for gaming of sorts if that's your thing.

Proto_Blaze

$5000 is an overkill... amd and ati are great brands that offer the same stuff... but cheaper and slightly less quality... honestly... but you dont need to spend more than $2500. what do you want to do with the pc? gaming or 3d modeling, browsing the web?

Tanassy

Nvidia and Intel. heh.

I haven't looked into prices recently so I can't really help. I'm still running with the computer I built three years ago...

Build your own.  You can get a damn good one for 2000 dollars.  Get dual gtx 460, cheapish, yet good , a Quad Core (Intel is best), like 4 GB of ram, 750 Watt power supply, and a motherboard that can support sli.  That should be able to run anything at high, and you probably will have some money leftover to spend. Here are some links:

And a case to hold all of that: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066

That is, of course, if you are building your own computer.

Edit:  Didn't realize that the 460's are around same price as 260's, and they support directx 11.

That's pretty damn good.  Overclocking the GPU would be a good boost, but i think it would be kind of a overkill to overclock a i7.  Plus you might wanna get some extra internal cooling if you plan on overclocking.

I changed the case to NZXT Hades which has better cooling (even though its kind of ugly :-\) What case would you recommend? $0-$120 range please.
