Now, i havent bought it yet since since i havent got my Vita yet.
But considering you brought SSBB in it - i'm assuming you're gonna complain about retarded things like everyone back with SSBB - which i found to be a great game - and yes, i play with the items - since that is the way it was ment to played.

Games are meant to played the way the player wants to play them. If you want to play with items that's fine, but personally I prefer Pokeballs and Smashballs only, if any items at all.
