I don't know...
Maybe somebody somewhere was just really ticked, wanted to vent their fury, and the first thing that they saw (which becomes their fury-venter) just happened to be Sonic.

Yeah it's totally weird that they say so, it's actually a big cool that Sonic for once can punch some enemy butt
