According to how Jkid made it (I don't like the idea, but he thought spammers were gonna come spam up the topic.  If they want posts, they aren't going to claim anyone anyway, but whatevs...)
You have one point at 1000 posts or if you've been registered and posting for three months.  Every month OR 500 posts after that, you get another point, up to a maximum of four.  So with most of the people who have posted so far (I think ALL, actually) have all four cause they all have been here for more than 6 months/have 1000+ posts.
