It doesn't matter if its good. All that matters is if it sells well. Which it wasn't. Because you can't charge that much for a portable system when people have been spoiled by phones that have free/cheap as $1 games they can download anywhere.

3DS is a bit 'meh' to me. It's just a bunch of fancy screens. It's like the Ipad. Pretty soon every company will mimic this idea. JUST like what happened to the wii. I bet at least 20 years from now at least 2 portable consoles with the 3D.

don't get me wrong; it's pretty awesome, but it's like what I said

and the price drop was something Nintendo needed to do. When the other devices show up, they're gonna compete, so doing this will have a slight jumpstart.
