What's the point of cosplaying if you're just going to edit yourself in Photoshop later?

Well, if my intentions are to turn myself into an anime character the point of cosplaying would be to get a decent, easy to edit pose and to make it a little easier on me because the hair and clothes I need are already in the picture.

If you have to use Photoshop to turn yourself into an anime character, you're doing it wrong.
Using Photoshop means you only care about the way you look in the picture and not in real life, hence making the whole cosplaying step completely useless.

Yes, but the whole point of cosplaying is making a costume yourself and showing it off. There is a sort of primitive style to it.

The Photoshop job did absolutely nothing to enhance the picture and at some points made it worse.

I never said she didn't have self-respect, but if she thinks she needs to use Photoshop to make herself look more attractive then who is to say whether she is right or wrong?
