You know YGO is the king of horrible cliches.
You had to go and make a post about it?

It's a well known fact.  I mean, come ON.  The only creativity comes from the monster names.  Even the characters names are somewhat like "wat."

I mean, for god's sake.
Crow?  And he uses Blackwing monsters?  Mai Valentine?  TEACH ME YOUR WAYS, CREATIVE MASTERS.

At least GX wasn't too bad until the end.  They had decent  names:  Chazz, Zane, Syrus, Alexis.  They were okay.  Atticus was a little strange of a name, but whatever.  lol

And KaibaCorp is still running strong in 5D's.  Didn't Kaiba die like...years ago?  Shouldn't they have found a different name for it by then?  5D's looks like it takes place in a post-apocalyptic Domino.  lmfao  I can't find an official timeline; it says "the distant future" so it would seem like it's pretty far away, considering the City is futuristic, and Satellite is fucked to pieces (Yusei and his friends live underground at a subway that says "West Domino" and Satellite&City were once connected until his parents fucked up and blew the two apart, pretty much turning Satellite into ruins)  Then again, in the anime, it talks about "5000 years ago...blah." and according to what official timeline there is, in the ENGLISH YGO:DM series, is around the same time as the ancient Egyptian shit.  In the Japanese version the ancient Egyptian stuff didn't happen until 1000 B.C., but it only says "3000 years ago."  So I'm assuming that 5D's doesn't take place TOOOO long after GX.  50 years, maybe?  Duel Academy still exists:  Aki was in Duel Academy and from what I've been reading, so is Yuma, and IDK how long after 5D's Zexal takes place, if it's even in the same universe.  If it isn't, that makes Zexal the Battle Network/Starforce of the YGO series.
