That's Enough Wii U Negativity From the Lot of You

If I have to read yet another blatantly obvious post about how the Wii U isn't doing so well, I swear I'm gonna punch a cat.
So instead, this topic is going to talk about what about the Wii U bothers us, and we think can be done to turn things for the better.

Like first of all the whole downloads thing, they're tied to your hardware, not some sort of cloud service, that is distressing. While unlikely, if something happens to the hardware, I have to re-buy everything, that's bullshit.

Secondly, there's no way to privately message people without being friends with them first. This gets quite annoying when you simply want to send a "GGs" to someone you played with online, or to ask for friend codes of whichever cool person you met

Thirdly, it's region locked, noone likes that shit, and the online store comes with taxes.

But that's totally the main problem.

I guess it would be nice if Nintendo weren't slow as fuck with their Virtual Console releases. It's just insane that the Wii has a massive catalog of VC games but they have to re-port every single one to the Wii U. Plus the Wii U still doesn't have N64 and GBA games. Even the Wii had N64 games within a year of launch. I doubt that would help sales of the Wii U though.

It kinda was. The Western support has always been shit but Japanese devs have given it massive support since handhelds are more popular there.

They need to get games that are not as easily emulated on there like N64 and Arcade games. Again, even the Wii had those.

Make a 'silent relaunch' of the system, market it, put games out that people care for, make some god damn deals with third-parties for exclusive games and content, and give iwata the boot.

And add more storage.

Because Sony and Microsoft have other first-party franchises that stand in for the loss of the old ones.
Also, most of the titles you mentioned are 3rd party and/or the studio died.

What were the most successful Zelda titles and the most popular as well as demanded ones?
That's right, the darker ones.

So, why would (Iwata) re-release Wind Waker - the worst selling console Zelda - expecting it to majorly boost Wii U sales?
And then they pumped money into a Dynasty Warriors Zelda spin-off...
While cool, Dynasty Warriors is not a console seller, nor a huge seller in the first place.
Not only that, but the last one one Wii U - Warriors Orochi 3 - performed horribly. So, why?

I dont know. Ask Iwata.

I like Wind Waker and the idea of that spin-off, but on a business level it makes... no sense. at all.
