As a matter of fact, smartphone browsers are (at least technology and feature-wise) mostly better.
the stylus excuse is silly because there are smartphones that come with a stylus.
Hell, with one of the high-end Sony phones you can use any damn pencil if you want to.

I say "at least" because, in the end, its personal preference.
