So this was apparently funded awhile ago but I just now realized it existed. Pro Wrestling X is an new N64 style wrestling game. It aims to recapture the same feeling as games like WWF No Mercy and the old NCW games with a few noticeable differences.

It's apparently been Greenlit on Steam already and hit enough stretch goals to get us a retro cage match (kind of a silly stretch goal, tbh) and weapons that can be used to bludgeon opponents to the breaking point.

Honestly I'm kind of excited, not just for the game but for what the inevitable modding community will be able to do to it; the creators outright state that they want you to and I sure as hell know I want to learn how to. Even though we didn't get the Scaffold Match I'm sure that as a mod isn't impossible.

I would have paid $25 for the closed BETA. How about you? Do you guys even like these sorts of games?

Why would I buy this if it doesn't have any real famous wrestlers in it? Also, that's a really low funding goal and I'm not sure how well the developers can make a game on such a small budget. I mean, their old Kickstarter which was a failure got more money than this one so clearly it wasn't enough for them back then.

Besides, the WWE games aren't that bad.

Why would you want to play a wrestling game without famous wrestlers? Because they're fun?

The WWE games aren't bad at all. It's just that a lot of people would rather play games like No Mercy than any of the new ones due to pure nostalgia factor.

Also this is actually a remake of the older project, per say. They're using the money to upgrade the coding, visuals, ect. and releasing it as a new project, so it essentially has the budget of both games.

No. All-Stars was over the top and cartoonish. It was a neat idea in it's own right but it was really out of place.

You dont get the money from Kickstarter if you dont reach the goal. Kickstarter keeps it.

They've had a successful Kickstarter before and a game came out of it. This game was buggy and glitchy because of their lack of a team and experience.

This current project is a revamped game using the engine of the buggy and glitchy game and it looks MUCH MUCH better.
