The point is that gay and trans people are already discriminated against by a large percentage of the world. How would you feel if you lived in a world where the majority of people hated you for your sexual identity, and where many people actually assault and sometimes kill people just for being gay or trans? And then you have stuff like this that just reinforce those hateful ideas and make the lives of gay and trans people that much harder. Why shouldn't we discourage this kind of stuff from ever being made?

Somehow I doubt that. At least 30% of LGBT people attempt suicide, compared to less than one percent of non-LGBT people. And often the reason for this is because their friends and family aren't supportive of them.
