Not EVERY 2D Sonic game was good. The Game Gear ones weren't much fun.

I have spent hours on both kinds. The Two Dimensional games are more fun to play around in because it's more of a game with twists and turns. The Three Dimensional games feel more like a story than a game most of the time.
