ive been staring at the wall for about 1 and a half to 2 hours, and i cannot sleep

Lol, I'm sure you already solved your problem but my guess is the night before you stayed up even later and now that you are trying to go to sleep much earlier your body is having a hard time to adjust to this new bedtime. Happens to me all the time.
