That "good stuff" was filler. It's not like Kai made the original disappear. If you prefer it, you can still watch the original. This was supposed to be more true to the manga. Which it was, until they cut it short and didn't cover Buu.

I used to hate Kai too until I learned what it was. I just wish it had gone past Cell.

Honestly, I actually prefer that it stopped at Cell saga for the sake of the story.

I still think Ocean Dub is the best for Saiyan Arc.
But I think Kai actually works better for the Freiza Arc.

But I also prefer the Funi w/ Falcouner dub for the Android, Cell and Maijn Arcs...
