Confirmed at last E3.  It was also mentioned in 2006.  And I do believe that it will come out next year because considering that twilight princess was released FOUR YEARS after it's original date.  If it takes four or five years to make a zelda game then I will come out next year.

This is from the only image Nintendo has released about the game so far. It's just speculation but isn't it strange how that girl resembles the Master Sword. I believe she is the spirit of the sword or something to that effect. If you saw the full image, you'd also notice that link is only holding a shield but no sword.
