I may be getting one and I AM FUCKING EXCITED. I was worried that I'd hate my new, weaker compy but this one seems to be literally 2x better than my old one. I'll miss the ol' girl but it's time to move on. I'm-a name her Irene. 8D

4GB of RAM and 550 GB of memory. Do I have a gaming compy, yet?
What makes it a gaming computer is the processor and the graphics card. The processor is average, and I doubt that that computer has a graphics card worth gaming.
You should be able to run smaller games, but anything big like (don't kill me I'm just using this as an example) WoW won't run.

What makes a gaming PC is primarily CPU speed. Next thing, graphics card, particularly dedicated memory and the GPU clock speed, shader model is also important. 4GB of (RAM) memory goes a long way but I only have 2 and you've seen what I can do.

HP are actually good computers...My dad's has lasted him about 4 years now, no problems. Just customer service is shit.
I like Acer...it was what my last laptop was but the screen fucked up within a year.
Sony's the way to go if you want a GOOD computer.

The HP is good for what you use it for.
You don't really play a LOT of high-performance games (that I know of) so it should serve your purpose.
Same with the Acer.
It's all really what you want.

From what I got from Walmart's site, the Acer had quite a few negative comments, and had a 4/5 star rating.
The HP had one or two negative comments, and the rating was almost 5/5. (4.75/5 it looked like)
Well, mom and I said we're just going to Wallmart and Bestbuy tommorow. We'll see what they have and ask the reps there. Thankies anyway, hun. :3

So every other company drops out. (ASUS, Toshiba & Sony) even though have cheaper Products but way weaker.
So, then we have Acer, Dell & HP.
Theres Acer with Screens that should not be directly in Heat.
Theres HP with less than 25% of their Computers that last over 3 years.
Dell is no mention worth.
Get an Acer. out of any pre-built device I've ever owned in that price range they work the best. Mind you I generally build PCs.
My mom's boyfriend came over to help me out. He said go to Best Buy and see what the rep could do...however, he also said he'd check for me. I decided to show him my old, 2GB Gateway Laptop that's served me fine, as broken as it was, for the past two years...
Low and behold, the ol' girl showed she still had life left and booted up fine. You should have seen my face beam. :3
