it kinda proves itself.. The fast paced slashing would be good for a rapid-A attack. Up Special, or whatever you wanna call it, could be that attack he uses to fling opponents into the air. His down special could be a rapid spin of some sort perhaps. or a simple slam on the ground attack, both of which he is familiar with. His regular special could be using Ebony+Ivory perhaps? or some other part of his arsenal.
He would be fast and agile, his attacks fast, dealing quick, light damage with little knock-back. I'm no supporter of Final Smashes, but if he needed one, he could use his Devil-trigger. it wouldn't be too overpowered, as he'd just be a little more agile and powerful, not doing anything too radical like some of the others.
As you can probably tell, I'm merely a casual SSB player. I don't know a hell of a lot about the game. The way he fights, with a little bit of tweaking.. would actually seem to fit in though. When you play DMC, well, that is an over-the-top game. He really doesn't seem to fit into the average fighting game, in my opinion.
The only thing that cuts his chances is his lack-of-appearence on nintendo's platforms, and the fact he is a fairly mature character. But, I never really expect him to be included anyway.
