I would, but I'm a bit confused on how this would work, would each organizer invite some people until we had a full roster?

Sounds good, but that would require timing, one thing we seem to lack, timezones and all.

However the people that do own the game seem to convene here at around the same time.
Personally, I think we need a system to ensure we're streamlined with the 3DS codes, perhaps in a forum game-esque format,
then with everyone friends with everyone else, one could simply check their friends list to see who was online.

But I digress.

Before we start we should have a list of everyone here that owns the game.

I don't have my 3DS with me at the moment, so I'm not sure how much I can actually do, but if you need anything organized or
accounted for, I'd be glad to help.

Set times for matches could help, and if anyone wishes, they can post a quick message here saying "I want to play, anyone game?" or something like that.

There could say, be a set time every week, maybe multiple days a week perhaps, where we have a contest, a set amount of matches to determine a winner, and then showcase that as well as the overall scoreboard on the page.

It may be difficult due to timezones as you said, but I'm all for just fun races too.

We could use Letter Box/ Swapnote to remind people about matches too if we wanted..

On GoW, we use our forum's CB to arrange matches.That could help because it's instant.

Agreed. However, we really should get a system going to ensure everyone are friends, I've already thought out a grid based system, and if that doesn't work, I've already thought of a way to lay out a forum topic.

The main problem I see with registering friends on the 3ds is the lack of notification, something that says "X would like to be friends" or "Y has accepted your request"

So if someone were to register someone else, the other person would have no way of knowing that person wanted to be friends.
If there was a system that listed who was friends with who, and who was waiting for confirmation, I think that would improve everyone's 3DS experience.

But seriously on a more casual note, if anyone wants to play a match, just post here.

When you sign into your 3DS and you have a new friend there'll be a little green ball next to it saying something has changed. When you click your friends list the game will tell you X approved your request as X!

Like I said. If we need an even 8 I could pull GD in. I might be able to pull in MLGF, Jordan and Gamer in after that. They're nice guys. That'd give us a massive 7-man party. I'm sure Tana would know someone else that has it. We don't NEED to play on the SZ community.

Communities are fun and all but... i would actually like to have a challenge when i play my video games. Having to force myself to slow down to for others to catch up isn't fun. KTHXBAI

It's a mutual respect thing Smash, when playing online with random people, you're most likely to get ganged up on simply for being good at the game, When playing in the community, we knock each other around a bit, but we don't sit and wait for players so we can dump a payload of shells on them, or deliberately go out of our way to hit people with stars, sure if they're in front of us it's fair game, but when they pull off to the side to avoid getting hit we don't follow them to smash into them. It's the exact opposite in random online matches, which makes them a pain to play most of the time.

Actually I have stopped before while someone was behind me to get them with a shell but that's only if I'm in danger of a blue shell or if they would have caught up anyway.

When I'm close to someone and getting chased by a blue shell, I always try to include them in the blast. :3
