then wait for a mod to make the final blow >:D lol
all you really can do is report the noobs here, its a really big help to us mods since we might not see them :P

Yeah i've been sidetracked by CoH (City of Heroes) ^^' but i use to do that...i use to get on when all the mods were in school because thats usually when the spammers strike, also congrats on getting to be a mod :D

Who was the last person that joined and stayed here? I can estimate that about 90% of noobs leave after they get 50 posts. And that about 80% of these noobs are spammers. You can't really convert spammers. You can convert people who were just here for the downloads but are nice. Spammers don't care about anyone apart from themselves. So it is almost impossible to make spammers nice.

By that last it, do you mean that there's still a way to spam or still a way to stop spamming w/o banning?
This is why I think you need to have at least +1 karma (along with 50 legit posts) to visit the ViP downloads section. That way they'll have to stop acting like dicks to get what they want. :P
And I find it funny when major spammers get their downloads and leave, only to come back asking for help on the download. :P

And when you report a post, it goes to email. We have more of a chance of getting them quicker if you PM us while we are online.

I know that you guys implemented the VIP access thingy so that there wouldn't be so much traffic on the site for the downloads, but since you guys hate spammers so much I was curious if you had considered any other alternatives that would keep the traffic and the spamming down.
You could start a topic asking for suggestions, maybe. Get people's opinions on the VIP access system, how effective it is, etc.

that might be a good idea. Sometimes the length of a post determines if it is spam or just a comment. Generally, more words = more thought
(unless you are a spam zombie that can just spew out strings of words that require no thought whatsoever)

I would hazard a guess that that person didn't need to put too much thought into writing that mess. So length of post doesn't indicate how much thought is put in. So much for my theory. But it's true that having to make longer sentences would annoy some spammers at least.
