John is probably the only one since he's the owner of the site and all major actions like making someone mod would have to go by him. But since John won't be on until June 15th at the earliest, it may take a while.

No he only says that when you are at like 500 posts with 50 karma and he would think "hmm maybe i should make him a mod because we need some and this guy will do", because when I got awarded mod status They didn't need mods atm but i still got it so yeah.
