In the comics, she's more mature than you know.
She's more dangerous than rouge in my opinion especially when she's mad like
at the time she got angry at Fiona for rejecting Sonic as her Girlfriend and Amy
really got guts swinging that hammer.

Rouge and amy hmmm..... I guess i'd say rouge (yes she is smoking hot) and shes a CIA or GUN agent. But I guess Amy still is preety hot at times but both of them were to fight i'd guess rouge would win.

No, the matter is that Knuckles don't even have a game of his own after Sonic Adventure, where Tikal is introduced.
It's hard to have him find Tikal, what Knuckles do is carry on his life and help his friends, until he has his game, he will(hopefully)find Tikal, release her or wut.

I've been saying that for a while now. Since I don't count Shade the Echidna, Knuckles has always been the last of his kind. His own game where Tikal is brought back would fix that. But we're off-topic.

No, but Rouge clearly didn't have someone like Sonic to look up to, otherwise she wouldn't have become a thief. At least Amy DOES have Sonic, not to mention all the other happy-go-lucky people that seem to flock around him.
