PowerCut+Lightning=wtf?

You heard the title
I was just using ma PC playing GTA:SA minding my own business,then all of a sudden,lightning struck,then JPS decided to cut off the power D:
Now,being the electrical appliance destroyers,they've gone as far as to f*ck with ma PC with that power outage(first ma microwave,then ma fan,then ma PS2*twice*,then ma N64,then ma bathroom light,now this D<)
I figured that all I needed to do was restart my PC and it would work like new right?WRONG!
Instead all of my web browsers(Firefox&Intrnet Explorer)got PWND,as in they don't even open 
It's obviously a PC problem cause not even re-installing windows fixes it >.<
BUT for reasons unknown,after I give it a good kick up the hardrive,its kinda working....for now,cause it kinda chips out at times,and I think it might just shut down again,cause when I closed IE to see if it was fixed,I got the BSOD 
So now I'm stuck with Firefox,so if I'm not online for at least a week or so,you can figure out what happened 
And if that happens,do't expect to see me till Somewhere early 2010

If you can get a laptop...I have one. They're portable and they aren't always connected so if this happens again your computer dosn't break...

I managed to get one for 300$. Unbelivable right? I got it from my grandpa and it's already falling apart...lol

Anyway...im not sure what you could do besides get bit fixed or buy a new one...maybe search a flea market for a cheap used one?
