I grew up in a musical family.
My mom was in the band, both my mom and dad are kinda small-named professionals within the Armed Forces and the likes.
I've played instruments since 4th grade.  That would make this my seventh year with the band.
Singing, much much longer.
I've never had vocal lessons or anything cause I learned to sing by mom and dad.  Free, quality vocal lessons, ftw.  8D
Even though my voice makes my singing sucks.  xD

so thats why you play so many instruments, i learned most of the instruments i play on my own.
I play

guitar 1 year
bass self taught 6 months
piano self taught 1.5 years
drums self taught 2 years
tambora self taught 1.75 years
guira self taught 2.25 years
etc.
