Sonic with weapons?

Well if Amy has her hammer, Shadow and his Guns, Espio and his Shuriken and etc. should Sonic has his own weapon?

I was thinking about something for his gloves for hand to hand combat but what do you think?

The sword thing was ok, but I wouldn't want Sonic to have a sword in EVERY game.

NO GUNS, just... no.

Something melee, for sure, since Sonic usually gets close to the enemy to attack. (Like every Sonic game where you have to hit the enemies)

The glove idea sounds good, but doesn't Knuckles already use that idea?

id say no hes got very far without one, and amy is just seen as an annoying character, shadow is liked from the emo fanclub and espio isnt mentioned as much...
but isnt it that he uses his speed as a weapon? anything that hits you fast is gonna hurt alot more that something that moves at a very slow pace.

It depends ... a glove modification wud be gud.
I dont really imagine sonic using hammers, swords, shurikens, or EVEn GUNS ...

However, i kind of mechanical arm wud be SOOOOO AWESOME
